Bungle Bungles Gutsy Challenge

Join us from 29th May to 4th June 2021 and trek through some of Australia's most pristine landscapes.

Led by Dieticians and AGITG Members; Katie Benton and Belinda Steer, you will trek for five days deep into the heart of Bungle Bungles and follow the gorge as it winds its way between these incredible sandstone domes.

This Gutsy Challenge provides a unique opportunity to explore Australia's classic outback, starting and finishing with a chartered flight over Purnululu National Park. All the while you will be raising much needed funds for research into gastro-intestinal (GI) cancers.

All donations to this Gutsy Challenge will support the funding of clinical trial research which is critically needed for those diagnosed with GI Cancer. It is the most common form of cancer, with around 28,900 Australians diagnosed each year.

What we will gain from your support is invaluable, and for that we cannot thank you enough!

Why the GI Cancer Institute?

Gastro-intestinal (GI) cancer is the most common form of cancer claiming a devastating 38 lives each day.

The GI Cancer Institute aims to improve the survival rates of people diagnosed with GI cancer by conducting research that is centred on patient care.

We conduct clinical trials which are designed to find better treatments for these cancers.

Clinical trials are studies that explore the impact of new or existing approaches to health care. They give Australian patients access to potentially life saving treatment 3-5 years earlier than if the trial was to take place overseas,

The support of our donors is so important to ensure the increased survival rate for these cancers.
